Indonesia

In June of 2017 a group of kayakers and climbers visited the uncommon destinations of East Sumba and West Timor - two islands in Indonesia with incredible geography and kind hearted people.

The purpose of the visit was to explore the potential of leveraging the kayaking and climbing communities to drive ecotourism to the region. In an ideal world, we would be able to protect the natural resources currently unregulated while also bolstering the local economy.

The story was featured in Outside Online and was the cover story of Climbing Magazine's December 2017 issue.  The full trip report can be found here.
